Hear Me Now by Boyce Avenue

Mitchy introduced this band to me stating that they did acoustic covers and we're pretty good at it. Back then they have not come up with their own album yet and now they've released "All You're Meant To Be" which is a smashing hit I should say. They visited the city once and unfortunately I was not able to drop by the mall they were performing. *sigh* So below is a song called "Hear Me Now".

Hear Me Now by Boyce Avenue

It wasn't always this feeling
Put out the world for a tear in your eye
Oh god I'm over here kneeling
It seems we're fighting for truth with a lie

I'm falling over the edge with you
You're falling over the edge with me
With me

Sometimes I wish it was easy
To leave the ones that we love behind
Oh god just help me believe it
Still so much harder to say goodbye

I'm falling over the edge with you
You're falling over the edge with me
With me

Oh
Can you hear me now

You got me standing here pleading
Won't you please help me keep this alive

I'm falling over the edge with you
You're falling over the edge with me
With me

Oh
Can you hear me now

Prince Caspian

I was at Fully Booked last week (it's my escape place) and I vowed to get my hands on the whole set of Narnia. The cheapest of all sets they have cost close to 3K plus and though I have other things to buy more urgent than this naturally but I promised to myself I'll get a copy before the year ends. Am watching Prince Caspian again for what might seem like the nth time and I cannot help but be drawn time and again to the magical world. It's just beautiful.

Charm Attack by Leona Naess

Have you seen the movie "Whatever It Takes"? It stars James Franco and Shane West, now if you haven't then go watch it, rent a dvd or search for it only but just watch it. Hehehe At the close to the ending part of the movie. They had Leona Naess' song "Charm Attack" playing. Check the lyrics and watch the video below.

Charm Attack by Leona Naess

He’s the kind of guy
Who’s always passin’ by
Who never has time to spend
And he’ll take you for a spin
Won’t look within
To find out who you are
And he numbs himself with weed
He’s from the coldest breed
Who judge by what they see
And I thought he was
Smart enough to know
That the girl on his arm
Will never calm his storms
Watch out, he'll charm you

Chorus:
Smoother than the L.A. weather
That’s how he holds himself together
He is colder than the winter
I wrap my coat around
To better counteract
his charm attack
That keeps me hungry
Well, I’m no savior
But I tried to save you
With all my love
That rage and hide inside

And he has his minions
With no real opinions
‘Cause they all walk on glass
And your lies become the truth
And give me the proof that you really care
With your gorgeous grins
You have the world sucked in
believe in everything you say

Chorus(2x)

And he stamps on every emotion
And he dampens each and every explosion
(repeat)

Elgar/Something Inside by Jonathan Rhys Meyer

Have you seen this movie? Well if so then you must be familiar with Jonathan Rhys Meyer the guy who played the role of Louis Conelly, that rock band vocalist who sang one of the soundtracks of this movie. The song's entitled "Something Inside" played by him in one of the parts of the movie. The lyrics pretty awesome and his voice is something. You ought to check it out

I have been getting this message everytime I visit a friend's blog and its intermittent like at one point it'd actually work I get to see her posts and all that but right now it doesn't work. I told her once that this error comes up every now and then and both of us have no clue as to what's causing it. Hopefully next time I visit her blog it'd all look normal and virus free.

Tongue Tied by Faber Drive

This is one of those bands whose music I discovered by pure chance. First heard of Faber Drive while I was surfing in a local internet cafe, they had one of their songs playing that song was "When I'm With You" so with the power of torrent I was able to finish the download of Faber Drive's album.

Tongue Tied by Faber Drive

Bright cold silver moon
Tonight alone in my room
You were here just yesterday
Slight turn of a head
Eyes down when you said
I guess I need my life to change
Seems like some thing's just aren't the same
What could I say?

[Chorus]
I'll need a little more luck than a little bit
Cuz everytime I get stuck the words won't fit
And every time that I try I get tongue tied
I'll need a little good luck to get my by
I'll need a little more help than a little bit
Like a perfect one word no one's heard yet
Cuz every time that I try I get tongue tied
I'll need a little good luck to get me by this time

I'm staring up at the stars
I wonder just where you are
You feel a million miles away
Was it something I said?
Or something I never did
Or was I always in the way
Could someone tell me what to say
To just make you stay

I know it feels like the end
Don't wanna be here again
And we could help each other off the ground
So we never fall down again
And what it takes, I don't care
We're gonna make it, I swear
And we could help each other off the ground
So we never fall down again, again

Chorus]
I'll need a little more luck than a little bit
Cuz everytime I get stuck the words won't fit
And every time that I try I get tongue tied
I'll need a little good luck to get my by
I'll need a little more help than a little bit
Like a perfect one word no one's heard yet
Cuz every time that I try I get tongue tied
I'll need a little good luck to get me by this time

I know it feels like the end
Don't wanna be here again
And we could help each other off the ground
So we never fall down again
And what it takes, I don't care
We're gonna make it, I swear
And we could help each other off the ground
So we never fall down again

A Lot Like Love

I got the DVD of this movie way back in 2006 when I was browsing through the video store in one of the malls here and though I haven't had any clue that such a movie existed and that though I had no clue what it's about and whose in it I bought it on the basis of its cover. And boy it was a pretty good decision, ask me what my favorite movie is second to French Kiss, and this would be it.

I wanna be that girl Emily, like her before and after. That punk/goth rogue at the start of the film and the sweet and mature woman almost all throughout the film. Amanda and Ashton looked really good together ... I mean its not the typical cheesy pair but I dunno ... like almost two good to be true.

Am watching it for the nth time, my DVD was borrowed by a former team mate and haplessly she failed to return it and now she's gone like moved to another city kind of gone and I missed that copy. It's one of my fave movies you know. So with the power of torrent I finally had it downloaded and saved safe in my hard drive.

*sigh* Can I have my own Oliver too? Pleassseee.... *sigh*

Definitely, Maybe

Have I mentioned am a huge fan of Ryan Reynolds? Well I am and I've been meaning to watch all of his movies provided that I can get a hold of a copy. So here I am typing and watching Definitely, Maybe for the nth time. It's just that am a sucker for hopeless romantic movies and this one with him and Isla Fisher is a winner. The twist the ordeal the pain and the love is amazing. One day I hope to find love that's astonishing and sweet capable of turning things upside and down. But if love would be very elusive then I don't mind following mom's footstep ... I wouldn't mind becoming a single mom with a beautiful child to raise and see me through the years. *sigh*

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun by Miley Cyrus

I've always believed that nothing can beat the original version of a song and the same is true with Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" but I saw this version of Miley's and hey it wasn't that bad. Check it out

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun by Miley Cyrus

I come home in the morning light
My mother says "when you gonna live your life right?"
Oh mother dear we're not the fortunate ones
And girls they wanna have fun
Oh girls just wanna have fun

The phone rings in the middle of the night
My father yells what you gonna do with your life
Oh daddy dear you know you're still number one
But girls they wanna have fun
Oh girls just wanna have

That's all they really want
Some fun
When the working day is done
Girls they wanna have fun
Oh girls just wanna have fun

Some boys take a beautiful girl
And hide her away from the rest of the world
I want to be the one to walk in the sun
Oh girls they wanna have fun
Oh girls just wanna have

That's all they really want
Some fun
When the working day is done
Girls they want to have fun
Oh girls just want to have fun
They wanna, wanna have fun
Girls wanna have
They just want
They just want
They just want
They just want

That's all they really want
Some fun
When the working day is done
Girls they want to have fun
Oh girls just want to have fun
They wanna, wanna have fun
Girls wanna have

When the working
When the working
When the working day is done
Girls wanna have fun...

Ghost by Skye Sweetnam

I've always liked this girl ever since she started with Tangle In Me and Billy S, her first album Noise from the Basement is loaded with really cool tunes and I fell in love with her first hand. Canadian artists rock!!! Skye Sweetnam, Avril Lavigne, Sum 41, Faber Drive ... whew!!! So here's one song from Skye's second album "Sound Soldier". Saw it while browsing through youtube ... and I love it instantly, gotta get a hold of a copy of that album.

Ghosts by Skye Sweetnam

I don't believe in ghosts but I'm afraid of 'em
I don't believe in ghosts but I'm afraid of 'em

Some wanna sleep, and some wanna rise
Some wait their whole life to hide
I'm gonna go out like Bonnie & Clyde

Cause I'm a wild one
And I don't give a damn, no
I made a bet with myself
I'm gonna make it

Something that I want, I'm gonna take it
Small town mold, I'm gonna break it
And get out of here
And make my dreams come true

Na na na na na
Na na na na na
na na na

I don't believe in ghosts, but I'm afraid of 'em
I don't believe in ghosts, but I'm afraid of 'em

There are some things you're gonna miss
Growing up in a small town like this
Big city, big problems
But it's me and you boy against the world now

I met a man named hate
I met a lady named malice
We met on the avenue and not in a palace
And everyone we meet is so damn ruthless
So boy don't ever leave me

I don't believe in ghosts, but I'm afraid of 'em
I don't believe in ghosts, but I'm afraid of 'em

Lost kids in a lost world livin'
No one's gonna back down, no one's gonna give in
You think I'm dumb, no you just mistaken
Can't be broke, and we can't be shaken

I don't believe in ghosts, but I'm afraid of 'em
I don't believe in ghosts, but I'm afraid of 'em

I don't believe in ghosts, but I'm afraid of 'em
I don't believe in ghosts, but I'm afraid of 'em

Stressed Out

I am working full time with a job I quite frankly despise but since the pay is good am sticking around, I study full time in attempts of completing my Masters degree and I also work part time as a tutor to two very cute kids. It is challenging and that sometimes I question my decisions and am wondering what am getting myself into most of the time.

My friends asked me if its all worth it, I mean if the pay is all worth it and to be honest about it ... its not I spend more than I earn from it and its okay. Because I think I'm having fun despite being stressed out every now and then. Its a good thing Momie Cherry is around, she's really good at it. I mean she's done it before and she's my resource unit you know ... always have my back ready and always full of suggestions on how to do it.

She said I kinda get high when am driven to the edge and is stressed out. And she got it right I get high when pushed to my limits and I know its a wonky idea but its true and here I am on another round of getting all high and stressed out.

MP3 Finder

Music and coffee ... my two addictions. Seems harmless but when they get too much it gets complicated. So with coffee am minimizing it one notch lower but with music it's always on a high, so there are music files in my computer hard drive and on my two external hard drives thats plagued with my audio files. Some of them are duplicates like I'm downloading them over and over so I got duplicated copies. So a friend suggested to get hold of a duplicate MP3 finder software online and download them to clean up the many duplicated files on my computer.

I guess next step would be to clean up the multiple files I have for music videos I have downloaded.
But one at a time.

When I'm With You by Faber Drive

So here's another song for all those emo people out there ... heard this while I was amongst the muggles on the net cafe. The folks had this playing and I can't get it off my head ... literally. The voice is haunting and the lyrics kinda pierced the listener through. Oh didn't I tell you am emo too?

When i'm with you
I'll make every second count
cause i miss you, whenever you're not around
when i kiss you
I'll still get butterflies
years from now,
I'll make every second count
when I'm with you

Isn't that sweet or what? Enjoy guys ... and do include Faber Drive on your music players ... they're awesome!

Don't Miss You by Amy Pearson

This song was added by the technician who repaired my notebook unto my music library and I instantly like it. The words were kinda bitter and on the rebound but I love the thought, the melody and the voice of the artist. Check it out guys, this would be for those who've just gone through a bad break-up.

Don't Miss You by Amy Pearson

Was just the other day when you said to me
That you had enough
Told me that you wanna move on with your life
And now you sing to me the same old melody
That I’m still the one
You thought I’d hang around while you made up your mind

I used to say that you were everything
You got your way but not anymore

Did you think it would be that easy
Did you think I’d be back for more
Loving you was a big mistake cos I don’t miss you at all
Did you think I would wait forever
Baby like the others did before
Loving you was my mistake cos I don’t miss you at all

No, I don’t I don’t I don’t miss you

So here you are today trying to manipulate
But that won’t work this time
Cos baby don’t you know you’re the last thing on my mind
Not gonna hesitate don’t wanna recreate the dreams you broke in two
So I’ll pick up the pieces of my broken heart and be done

Did you think it would be that easy
Did you think I’d be back for more
Loving you was a big mistake cos I don’t miss you at all
Did you think I would wait forever
Baby like the others did before
Loving you was my mistake cos I don’t miss you at all

No, I don’t I don’t I don’t miss you

No, I don’t I don’t I don’t miss you
No, I don’t I don’t I don’t need you

I gottta move on with my life
Cos I don’t miss you at all

Did you think it would be that easy
Did you think I’d be back for more
Loving you was a big mistake cos I don’t miss you at all
Did you think I would wait forever
Baby like the others did before
Loving you was my mistake cos I don’t miss you at all

No, I don’t I don’t I don’t miss you

Did you think I would wait forever
Baby like the others did before
Loving you was my mistake cos I don’t miss you at all

No, I don’t I don’t I don’t miss you

And I'll Miss You, When You're Gone

This line played over and over in my head and it reminds of that "sh!t" am not suppose to know and it reminded me of how am gonna miss him when he's gone and it's scary. Damn! I can't even begin to comprehend how I'd face him on Tuesday knowing what'll happen to him without him him knowing that I know. Knowing that he only has as far as a week at work and then he's gone looking off for work.

*sigh* I cannot imagine how he'd manage financially that is. It's none of my business I know but then again I hate it when people lose their means of income and be in deep sh!t. Crap, am I've shit that twice and really am frustrated and scared of what and how things will be.

I'd lose a colleague and a friend which is just ... well not nice. Am not sure I like work right now.
