The Princess and The Frog

I watching it online after a colleague of mine said he didn't like, it didn't provide good moral lessons for the kids. So that got me intrigued and after watching it; it's safe to say I disagree with him ... sure the prince was an a$$hole but the princess was astounding, all the great characteristics rolled in one, hardworking, sweet and family loving ... what could be greater than that?

It isn't my favorite Disney film, Beauty and the Beast still holds the crown for me but the music on The Princess and The Frog is amazing and then there's the classic ... and they live happily ever after so it was indeed another classic Disney fairy tale.

You Got Me by Colbie Caillat

In continuation of the last entry ... which if you haven't read it was about the movie, Leap Year, when the credits started to roll they had this song playing with the lines ... I think I felt my heart skip I beat. So a bit of googling and I found that the song's entitled "You Got Me" sung by the lovely Colbie Caillat and is actually one of the song's OST. Watch her performing live on AOL's Walmart Sound check.

You're stuck on me and my laughing eyes
I can't pretend though I try to hide
I like you
I like you
I think I felt my heart skip a beat
I'm standing here and I can hardly breathe
You got me, Yeah
You got me

The way you take my hand it's just so sweet
And that crooked smile of yours
It knocks me off my feet

Oh, I just can't get enough
I'm astute, I need to fill me up
It feels so good it must be love
Cuz everything that I've been dreaming of
I give up, I give in, I let go, let's begin
Cuz no matter what I do
Oh, oh my heart is filled with you

I can't imagine what it be like (Oh)
Living each day in this life without you (Oh)
Without you (Oh)
One look from you
I know you understand (Oooh)
This mess were in, ya know
It's just so...out of hand.

Oh, I just can't get enough
I'm astute, I need to fill me up
It feels so good it must be love
Cuz everything that I've been dreaming of
I give up, I give in, I let go, let's begin
Cuz no matter what I do
Oh, oh my heart is filled with you

I hope we always feel there's a way (I know we will)
And in my heart I know that you will always stay

Oh, I just can't get enough
I'm astute, I need to fill me up
It feels so good it must be love
I give up, I give in, I let go, let's begin
Cuz no matter what I do
Oh, I just can't get enough
I'm astute, I need to filll me up
It feels so good it must be love
(Cuz everything that I've been dreaming of)
I give up, I give in, I let go, let's begin
Cuz no matter what I do
Oh, oh my heart is filled with you

Oh, Oh
You got me, You got me
Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh
You got me, You got me

Leap Year

I was watching this movie earlier, you know how crazy I am about romantic comedies and this one sure fits the bill. I am not really a major fan of Amy Adams but I've seen a couple of movies she's in and she sure has a sunny disposition. So going to my favorite online site for watching movies I found this movie on the featured list.

A woman who has an elaborate scheme to propose to her boyfriend on Leap Day, an Irish tradition which occurs every time the date February 29 rolls around, faces a major setback when bad weather threatens to derail her planned trip to Dublin. With the help of an innkeeper, however, her cross-country odyssey just might result in her getting engaged. [via imdb]

So she did get engaged with Jeremy but found out that the engagement came out because it's the only way they could get the apartment they've been wanting for and that made her realize she has got everything she wanted but not everything she needed. So she flew 3,000 miles off to Ireland and found that Declan [Matthew Goode] is now successfully running his inn, she proposed he proposed they got engaged then married and they lived happily ever after .... then the credits started to roll.

Weeeeeee I love sappy happy endings and maybe someday one day I'll have my own happy ending too. A little girl with dark curly hair, chinita dark eyes, and porcelain skin also throw in a white picket fence.

Marie by Solveig Sandness

I was prolly in my freshman year in high school or was it 6th grade but I could no longer recall ... all I know is this song is stuck in my head ever since I saw it and I only saw the video once. I forgot the artist all I know were a fine lines and the tune ..."Marie Marie Marie, you're a shy little girl ...." It actually took me all this time to figure it out hehehehe. So without further ado ... here's Solveig Sandness with Marie.

Little sister come stay with me a while
It's been so long since I have seen your happy smile
Let's have a toast together for all the crazy times
We thought would last forever until the end of time

Marie, Marie, Marie, you're a shiny pearl
Marie, Marie, Marie, such a spacy little girl
Marie, Marie, Marie, you're a shiny pearl
Marie, Marie, Marie, such a spacy little girl

That thunderstorm around you is bound to mess up those
That bravely try to get to you and step upon your toes
Do what you have to do, go where you have to go
All your destiny and your destination it's all that you should know

Marie, Marie, Marie, you're a shiny pearl
Marie, Marie, Marie, such a spacy little girl
Marie, Marie, Marie, you're a shiny pearl
Marie, Marie, Marie, such a spacy little girl

What would I do if I didn't have you
(What would I do) get along
Who would you be if not for me

Marie, Marie, Marie, you're a shiny pearl
Marie, Marie, Marie, such a spacy little girl
Marie, Marie, Marie, you're a shiny pearl
Marie, Marie, Marie, such a spacy little girl

I'm so lucky that I have someone like you
And a piece of history that I know we'll hold on to
I'm so lucky that I have someone like you
And a piece of history that I know we'll hold on to

Remembering The Prom

February is the month of love as well promenades every high school in the city are pretty much busy booking hotels and convention halls for their proms though some would have it in the school's gymnasium. During my junior year our promenade was held in some classy hotel in the city and everyone especially the ladies were all pretty much excited and looking for a dress to wear was a much talked about activity. There's this boutique offering several prom dresses for rent and they also make one for you if you want but most of us opted to rent as having one made is pretty expensive.

Nowadays with the power of the internet there are several sites offering several really beautiful short prom dresses as well as Jovani prom dresses for a really affordable price so with the prom season fast approaching ... browsing online for the perfect dress might be a good idea.

Remembering my own prom night gives me childish memories lol the giggling, the excitement, the photo shoots, the food and the place were pretty amazing but what I love the most was the really beautiful corsage they give you at the entrance. At that time it was an elegant pink flower beautifully arranged and then it was placed on our left wrist then we get instead the ball. A friend of mine back then was wearing a really elegant pink dress, deep shade of pink which matches perfectly with the corsage we were given;  and the dance was also very romantic it made us dream of romance and happily ever afters. The prom did not last all night it ended just a few hours after midnight and then every one went on their ways some continuing the party at some resto bars but I went home with my mom and had some hot choco talking about the people, the dress and what not.

Then the senior year came and then there was the promenade which was great only this time I knew what to expect and knew how to play it cool or so I thought. It was still fun, we had several photo shoots and everyone looked their best. So I guess I was right about not missing the prom, I was thinking back then of not attending but mom convinced me to attend as it's a once in a lifetime event something that every girl should experience. It's a magical knight so long as you believe it will be.

365 Days by Lutricia McNeal

One of my absolute favorites ... in my collection of mushy songs this is on the top list. So in tune for the Valentine's Day here's Lutricia McNeal with 365 Days.

I remember what you used to say
ThatThings won't tumble down
Now we're here and finally it changed
When I'm standing on silent ground
I don't understand
When did we go wrong?
And I can't imagine

Where will I be 365 days from now
Tell me
How will I feel 365 nights without you
Oh what would I do?

And now it feels like we're drifting apart
Things are not what they used to be
And now I know it's written in your heart
You don't wanna be a part of me
I don't understand
What did I do wrong?
And I can't imagine

Where will I be 365 days from now
Tell me
How will I feel 365 nights without you
Oh what would I do?

I've been trying so hard
Not to let it show
But deep within my feelings
They glow
Before you leave me and let me go
There' something I need to know
Where will I be 365 days from now
Tell me
How will I feel 365 nights without you
Oh what would I do?365 nights without you

stay so i can breathe in your air
then i'll never have to share you
with anyone, anyplace, or anytime
just don't keep me guessing
i can't bleed you from my mind

all that we do won't leave us empty
i'm here always, i will never let you go
i'm here always, you will never be alone.
they can say that i'm hollow
but i won't let you go, i won't.

at least i said i'm sorry,
even though it makes you worry
that i won't pretend i like your friends.
everytime it makes me crazy
when they come around
and kick me to the ground.

all that we do won't leave us empty
i'm here always. i will never let you go
i'm here always, you will never be alone
they can say that i'm hollow
but i won't let you go, i won't.

just stop, it's not that bad,
look at all the things we have.
i've got you to keep me laughing.
shut up, why aren't you happy?

all that we do won't leave us empty.
i'm here always i will never let you go,
i'm here always you will never be alone.
they can say that i'm hollow
but i won't let you go.
i'm here always
i will never let you go,
i'm here always
you will never be alone.
they can say that i'm hollow
but i won't let you go
i won't let you go

Lyrics Below:

Some people love shoes of certain kinds
Some people love afternoons or the way the moon shines
And they have their own reasons to feel the way they do
That's why I ask myself - what it is with you?

Is there something wrong with the way I speak?
Do you even see me when I pass you on the street?
I'll close my eyes and let it be
Because I just can't see why you love to hate me

Some people love weekends because they can fool around
Some people love thunderstorms because of how the drops of rain fall down
And they have their own reasons, whatever they may be
That's why I think it's kind of funny that you don't have one for me

Is there something wrong with the way I speak?
Do you even see me when I pass you on the street?
I'll close my eyes and let it be
Because I just can't see why you love to hate me

And it sucks to face the truth that I ain't got no reasons too
Never asking for questions why I feel the way I do
And I know it's stupid on my part to say that I love you
Even though I know you hate me and you don't know why you do

Is there something wrong with the way I speak?
Do you even see me when I pass you on the street?
I'll close my eyes and let it be
Because I just can't see why you love to hate me
