Hana Kimi (Taiwanese)

After watching "Down with Love" and becoming a huge fan of Ella, I decided to watch all the other TV series she is in and found Hana Kimi.

It stars Ella Chen, Wu Chun and Jiro Wang and it's one of those romantic comedy TV series that people like me would definitely like. A friend of mine has been a huge fan of Wu Chun and when I told her that he is indeed good looking, I still prefer Zhou Jie Lun over him. She laughed and said it's a good thing so there won't be any competition between us. LOL HAHAHAHAHAHA. Anyways, Hana Kimi follows the story of Lu Ru Xi who went to all the trouble of going to an ALL BOYS school in Taiwan just so she could be with her idol, Quan who is a high jump athlete. 

It has its hilarious and romantic moments, the opening theme of the drama is "What Should I Do?" by S.H.E. The drama's soundtrack contains songs from Tank and Fahrenheit.

I finished this drama series not too long ago and I have to say it made me crave for more Taiwanese TV series. This drama also made me a fan of Ella Chen and of the band S.H.E., they're just amazing. Thanks to the inventions of subtitles anyone can now watch foreign language series. 

Synopsis:

Xiang Yu Ping (Jerry Yan), an expert divorce and inheritance lawyer, is seen by others as cold, selfish, and ruthless. After Yu-ping’s older brother dies in a car accident he has little choice but take in his brother's two orphaned children, Yu Fei and Yu Ting (The childrens' mother had left them). Every nanny he hires to care for them is either scared off by the mischievous children or ends up falling in love with him. Fed up, Yu Ping asks his secretary, Yang Duo, to find a nanny that meets his requirements. Having lost all their wealth when their mother passed away and being abandoned by their father after racking up heavy debts; Yang Duo can not ignore the fact that she needs the money and recommends her younger sister, Yang Guo (Ella Chen), for the job; assuring Yu Ping that her tomboyish sister will not fall in love with him by lying that she does not like men at all. The opening theme of the series is a song entitled "Jiu Xiang Lai Zhe Ni (Just Want To Depend On You)" by Jerry Yan while the ending theme is a song entitled "Ai Shang Ni" by S.H.E.

Directed by Masakazu Obara and written by Hiroyuki Yoshino, the series originally premiered in Japan on TV Tokyo from September 2004 to March 2005. The show is a comedy-drama focusing on the lives of HiMEs—girls with the capacity to materialize photons—gathered at Fuka Academy for a secret purpose.

The series is licensed for North American distribution by Bandai Entertainment and European distribution by Bandai's European subsidiary, Beez, with the first American DVD released at the end of March 2006.
