First of, I don't speak Spanish. But this song sang by Christina Aguilera during the late 90's captivated my ears with its rich melody. It's been in my player since then, I hum along without getting the correct lyrics out and w/o understanding it. lol ... all I can feel is that this is a very beautiful love song.

I said thats a line from a song which is just stuck in my head ... Screaming Infidelities by Dashboard Confessional. One of the songs I've grown to like from the band, many call their music emo .. some call it punk. But I really don't know am stupid with genres the same way am a klutz with Calculus. I've always been a fan of the tv series, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer and this song made it to the soundtrack despite not appearing in any of the episodes. Sang by a four piece British all girls pop band, Hepburn, their song "I Quit" has been in my player for ages. lol. "Coz loving you is a job I don't need" --- love this line.

A Sweet Musical Trip Down Memory Lane

High school ... oh high school ... It's this chapter of my book associated heavily with teeny bopper music which up till now (lets say after 8 or 9 years) still make me smile and sigh and go into a complete daydream. Some used to say high school was not a good time for them ... am not saying its perfect for me (God knows I have my own share of ups and downs) but looking at it now, it was great despite the problems.

Music has always been my companion in the solitary moments of studying, of going home, of walking round the coliseum. Yeah, I was pretty much a loner back then till now. Don't get me wrong I have my set of friends who are still around up till now but there's always that time and that part of me who wants to be just alone with my music player (a walkman back in high school, a portable cd player in college and an ipod now). So one can just imagine the number of cassette tapes I've accumulated over the 4 years I spent in highs school and the number of cd's I've accumulated over the 4 years in college.

Mushy me ... can't help it. Am playing them one by one and must be bec. of age, a few sounded cranky and broken. But they're here and forever they'll be ... part of my memorabilia

Critically Ashamed - FM Static

Thats the album name on the title "Critically Ashamed" by FM Static, discovered the band while I was bloghopping and the blog I hopped into had "Tonight" playing. Searched on his playlist and got the artist. Had a friend from work listen to it and he liked it instantly ... after a couple of weeks I finally got my hands on the entire album titled "Critically Ashamed" with the following tracks:
